(WSIL) -- Heavy rain fell on parts of the region Tuesday morning as a cold front arrived. The coldest air is still moving this way and as it approaches more showers are likely. Most of our region will see another round of showers tonight and eastern counties could see lingering light showers as late as Wednesday afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to cool until we see the lowest readings Thursday morning in the low to mid 40s. Normal to cooler than normal temperatures are expected through the weekend with lots of sunshine after the Wednesday showers clear. I will have the latest forecast updates on News 3 WSIL.
