CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Multiple cats and dogs are up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Cooper has been waiting on his forever family at Franklin County Animal Control for a couple of months. He is about 3-years-old and loves people. He is energetic, playful, has great recall, follows basic voice commands, and smart. He has figured out how to unlatch pens. To learn more about Cooper, contact the shelter in Benton.

Pip is a 3-year-old Pitbull who is sweet and gets along with other dogs. You can find him at Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt Vernon.

Jefferson County Animal Control also has a group of puppies, 8-weeks-old. They are black and tan and Coonhound-mix. There are 6 total puppies up for adoption at the shelter in Mt. Vernon.

Daffodil is a beautiful Calico cat. She a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair who comes off as a bit shy, but with just a few scratches, she'll become your best friend. Daffodil will do well in a calm home. She can be adopted from the Humane Society of Southern Illinois in Murphysboro.

Kaz is a beautiful black cat who was found abandoned. He is looking for a home with no dogs or kids. You can get to know him at the Perry County Humane Society.
