ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Missouri Gov. Mike Parson declared a state of emergency in response to the new coronavirus and said the state has two more presumptive positive cases.

Meanwhile, St. Louis County is banning events with more than 250 people, and some schools have closed early for spring break after Missouri recorded its second case of the novel coronavirus.

St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, who also is a physician, says prevention is key in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mercy health system plans to open a drive-thru testing facility in a St.Louis suburb as soon as Saturday.
