Homicide fugitive arrested in Kentucky after multi-county chase

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Kentucky State Police (KSP) arrested a homicide suspect from Tennessee following a multi-county chase. 

Monday, a Kentucky State Trooper tried to stop a vehicle on Interstate 24 in Marshall County, for speeding. The driver failed to stop, leading the trooper on a chase through Marshall, Livingston, and Lyon counties. 

The suspect exited the interstate and collided with a pickup truck. No injuries were reported. 

The driver and two passengers fled on foot.

After a search of the area, two were arrested within minutes. The third was taken into custody approximately one and a half hours later.

Marques Kelly, 25, of Clarksville, TN was wanted for a homicide in Clarksville. He was charged with speeding, reckless driving, possession of a handgun by a felon, fleeing and multiple other charges. He is being held at the Christian County Jail.

The passengers, Dequantis Crouch and Cemage Garrard, both of Clarksville, TN, are also facing multiple charges. They are being held at the Caldwell County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Kuttawa Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, Eddyville, Police Department, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife assisted KSP.
