Baseball Salukis swept at home by Redbirds

Posted: Updated:

CARBONDALE-- April has not been the Baseball Salukis month, as they come into the series finale against Illinois State riding a six game losing streak.

The Dawgs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, but that would be their only lead of the game.

Illinois State would go on to win the game 8-4, Salukis fall to 17-19, and extend their losing streak to seven games.

SIU returns to action at Itchy Jones Stadium Tuesday, as they welcome Arkansas State.
