Nashville rides big second half to roll past Teutopolis

BENTON -- In the feature game at the Rich Herrin Classic, the Nashville Hornets dominated the second half and took down Teutopolis 57-39.  It was a match up featuring two of the top three ranked teams in the latest AP 2A boys basketball poll.

The game was tied at 24 at the half, but the Hornets outscored the Wooden Shoes 13-2 in the third, with Matt Anderson burying a pair of three-pointers including a buzzer beater, giving Nashville a 37-26 lead after three.

Teutopolis could get no closer than eight in the fourth quarter, eventually falling by 18.

The two teams could meet again in the postseason, if both can make it to the SIU 2A Supersectional.
