Posted: Updated:

CARTERVILLE -- It took fifth ranked John A. Logan a while to get going, but once the Volunteers did, they ran away with an 84-69 win over Southwestern Illinois College.

The Volunteers shot 18% in the first half and only managed six field goals as the teams went into halftime tied at 24.

Logan exploded for 60 second half points to cruise to its tenth straight win.

Jay Scrubb and David Sloan led the offensive attack.  Scrubb posted a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Sloan finished with a triple-double--19 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.

The Vols improve to 14-1 (5-0).  They will host Lake Land Saturday.
