Woman looking to impress man with her hunting skills ends up in trouble with the law

Posted: Updated:

MCINTOSH COUNTY, Okla. -- An Oklahoma woman hoping to find a date online, instead found herself with a court date.

It all started when she matched with a man on the dating app bumble. Since the app forces women to make the first move, she reached out to him and started off the conversation talking about how she just shot a 'bigobuc' [big old buck]. He didn't have it on his profile, but that man, Cannon Harrison, is the Game Warden for McIntosh County, Oklahoma. And the season for shooting deer with guns had already ended.

He asked her if she used a bow, and a few other details to try to track her down. Game Warden Cannon Harrison then sent Oklahoma Game wardens to the property where she killed the deer and made the illegal deer case. She has pleaded guilty and paid multiple fines in order to avoid jail time.

Harrison shared screenshots of his conversation with the woman and pictures of the deer in a post to the Oklahoma Game Wardens Facebook page.
