Driver hits train, is not injured

WSIL -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident in which a driver hit a train. It happened in downtown Makanda on Makanda Road on Friday night.

Investigators say the driver of a 2010 Toyota Rav 4 stopped for the crossing gates, but then the car started moving toward the train, striking it.

The driver was not injured.
