Red Kettle Campaign needs volunteers

Posted: Updated:

MARION, Ill. -- The holidays are right around the corner, and The Salvation Army needs your help.

They're looking for volunteers for their 2018 Red Kettle Campaign.

Beginning November 16, volunteers will be needed to ring bells outside of various Kroger locations and Hobby Lobby.

It's their biggest fundraiser of the year and the donations will provide services for all of 2019.

"We just need your smile, you just need to say thank you and Merry Christmas.  It's a huge help to us.  Having people at the kettles makes a big difference in donations that come in," Cami Horn said.

Volunteers typically cover a two-hour shift, and The Salvation Army needs to cover five thousand hours total.

If you're interested in volunteering call 618-993-5854 or visit them on Facebook.
