What you need to know about President Trump's Cape Girardeau visit

WSIL -- As a part of his last minute mid-term election stumping, President Donald Trump will be holding a campaign rally in Cape Girardeau on Monday, November 5 at the Show Me Center.

The event is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. and the doors are scheduled to open at 6:00 p.m. You can click here for tickets.

Parking
A limited number of spaces will be available for event parking in the lots adjacent to the Show Me Center. Other University parking lots will remain open for event use. Overnight parking for events and camping is prohibited. 

Overflow parking and shuttle service

5) Sears Grand (shuttle pick up: in front)

6) Arena Park (shuttle pick up: in front of Arena Building)

Cape Girardeau, MO

Robinson Transport will be providing school busses for shuttle services to and from the above locations to/from the Show-Me Center. Shuttles will run continuously from 4 p.m. on Nov. 5th to 12 a.m. on Nov. 6th with no set intervals between drop-off or pick-up. The shuttles will drop-off attendees in front of the marquee at the Show-Me Center. Shuttles will stop service when the Show-Me Center is full.

Cameras
No tripods, monopods, selfie sticks or GoPros are permitted.

Concessions
Limited concessions will be available for sale to all guests inside the Show Me Center.

Prohibited
If you plan on attending the event, do not bring the following items. The Cape Girardeau Police Department says you will be forced to surrender them and they will not be returned.

  • Animals (other than service/guide animals)
  • Backpacks and bags exceeding size restrictions
  • Bicycles
  • Balloons
  • Coolers
  • Drones and other unmanned aircraft systems
  • Explosives 
  • Firearms
  • Glass, thermal, or metal containers
  • Laser pointers
  • Mace/pepper spray
  • Packages
  • Selfie sticks
  • Signs exceeding the size restrictions (20' x 3' x 1/4")
  • Structures
  • Supports for signs and placards
  • Toy guns
  • Weapons
  • Any other items determined to be potential safety hazards
