Dozens of Veterans headed to Washington D.C

MARION -- Dozens of area Veterans take off on the 4th Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois.

This Honor Flight left earlier than the previous three flights, departing just after 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 16. Organizers with Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois say the extra time will allow for additional stops added to the tour.

A Welcome Home Celebration is planned at Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois with food trucks opening at 5 p.m. and entertainment beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 16.
