HVAC fall prep

WSIL -- Having a warm home this time of the year is a must, but when was the last time you had your furnace checked?

Doug Suits, a technician for Collard Heating and Air Conditioning, cleans parts of the furnace that can cause issue if left untouched.

He also tests various electrical components to ensure they are functioning properly, adding that keeping these parts fully operational reduces strain on the furnace.

Suits says preventative maintenance has kept this resident's furnace in good working order.

Experts say the easiest way a homeowner can spare themselves the time and frustration of an emergency repair is by changing the air filter, and scheduling preventative maintenance each fall.
