Adler Planetarium coming to southern Illinois

WSIL -- America's first planetarium is sending an exhibit to southern Illinois this week.

The Adler Planetarium is sending its outreach program, Galaxy Ride, back to several different cities in southern Illinois.

The group which visited the region for the solar eclipse in 2017 is bringing a mobile classroom -- including interactive displays and a telescope. 

All activities will be free and open to the public.

You can find the team at various locations every night this week -- through Saturday.

The full schedule of Galaxy Ride stops is listed below. 
Tuesday, October 2
Community Night Out, Longfellow Park, Murphysboro, IL; 5:00-7:00 pm
Telescope observing and drop-in activities with the Murphysboro Education Association (MEA) & Carruthers Elementary Astronomy Club

Wednesday, October 3

Thursday, October 4

Friday, October 5
