CARBONDALE -- Saturday's rain didn't stop the fight against Alzheimer’s. Around 150 people carried umbrellas to take part in the "Walk to End Alzhiemer's at SIU's Campus Lake.

All funds raised further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

So far, the walk has raised more than $20,000 and donations will be accepted through December.

The next local walk will be held at the Marion VA Hospital on Saturday, October 6th.

To donate, visit the Alzheimer's Association website.
