Fatal UTV crash in Stonefort

STONEFORT, Ill. -- The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating a UTV accident that killed one man and injured three others.
 
Just after 1 a.m. Saturday, police were called to Battleford Road approximately two miles southeast of Stonefort.

The Sheriffs office says 36-year-old Joshua Reed of Carrier Mills was driving the UTV when he lost control, left the roadway and the UTV overturned. 

Reed and two of his passengers were thrown from the vehicle. Reed was pronounced dead at the scene. 33 year-old Courtney Joyner and 33 year-old Michael Perry, both of Carrier Mills, were flown from the scene by Air Evac to Indiana with major injuries.

The fourth person, 44 year-old Joshua M. Lewis of Eldorado, was treated and released at the scene.
