Body pulled from Ohio River

UPDATED: TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2018 4:40 p.m.

WSIL -- McCracken County, Kentucky Sheriff Matt Carter says a 911 call came in around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday about a body in the water near the Brookport Bridge.

An autopsy is scheduled and at this time it is unclear if foul play was involved.
 
Sheriff Carter is asking anyone with information regarding a missing person within the past month or possibly has any information regarding this incident is requested to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

WSIL -- McCracken County, Kentucky Chief Deputy Mike Turnbow confirms to News 3 a body was pulled from the Ohio River Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon sheriff's deputies shut down the Brookport Bridge to investigate. The bridge has since reopened.

There have been no other details released. But more information is expected soon from McCracken County Sheriff Matt Carter.
