Single vehicle crash in Perry County

Perry County, Ill.-- A man involved in a crash in Perry County Thursday afternoon has recovered from his injuries.

Brian Cook was traveling westbound on Route 154 near Crocus Road  when he went off the right side of the road and struck and embankment.

Cook tells News 3 he suffered bruises from the crash and has since been released from the hospital.

PERRY COUNTY, Ill. -- Illinois State Police (ISP) say a concrete truck driver lost control of his vehicle and overturned it on Illinois Route 154 near Crocus Road in Perry county.

Troopers say Brian Cook, 36, of Pinckneyville, was traveling westbound when on Route 154 when it he left the roadway to the right and struck an embankment. The concrete truck then overturned, coming to rest in the westbound lane of Route 154.

Cook was taken to the hospital. ISP tells us he is charged with improper lane usage. Cook disputes that he was charged.
