Sheriff credits community for helping find theft suspect

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- A man wanted by the Williamson County Sheriff's Department for several months, has finally been captured thanks to tips from the public.

Williamson County had two warrants out against Lester Aaron Taylor, 35, for felony thefts.

Monday, July 9, Taylor allegedly stole a vehicle on Farner Street in the Village of Bush. He was located in Herrin the same day.

The Williamson County Sheriff says Taylor attempted to flee on foot from officers and was apprehended by Williamson County Canine. 

Taylor is facing three felony charges, but more charges are expected.
