Get a Build-A-Bear for as little as $1

Posted: Updated:

WSIL -- If you are free this week and have kids, you may want to take them to a Build-A-Bear workshop because the store is offering a one-day sale unlike any it has before.

Officials with the stuff-it-yourself toy store announced that for one day only, it's changing the price on all its ready-to-stuff animals, and the price tag will reflect each customer's age.

The company today announced a "Pay Your Age Day", which will take place all day Thursday, July 12. (post shown below)

That means all its animals will be discounted for kids. And if you are older, don't worry, nobody will pay more than $29, and the least is $1.

Everything from your basic teddy bears to the popular licensed characters are part of the deal, but the offer excludes outfits and accessories.

Here's the catch: To get the lower price, you have to sign up as a member of the Build-A-Bear Club.

Customers must sign up online or in-store.

The offer is good for one toy per customer present in the store, according to the website. Click here for more details.

There are Build-A-Bear workshops in Fairview Heights, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana, as well as in St. Louis.
