Three women arrested for stealing $3,500 worth of merchandise

PADUCAH, Ky. -- Three young women, including one juvenile are facing charges for stealing more than $3,500 worth of merchandise from Kohl's in Paducah.

Whitney L. Morgan, 22, of Jefferson Street, and Teesheona L. Williams, 19, of Olivet Church Road, were both arrested on a charge of felony theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting); and a 17-year-old girl was also taken into custody on a charge of felony theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting).

Kohl's' loss prevention officer called police after the three were seen on surveillance concealing items from throughout the store in bags and shopping carts. One of the three left the store and got into a silver Ford Fusion with no license plate.

Morgan and Williams were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail. The 17-year-old was cited and released to her guardian.

    WSIL -- The first disaster relief volunteers with the Illinois Baptist State Association (IBSA) are on their way to Lumberton, North Carolina. The Illinois crews come from a trained pool of about 1,700 volunteers and are a part of the larger Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, which is the country's largest aid organization next to the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
