Bourbon Warehouse collapse kills a thousand fish

BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- A bourbon distillery warehouse collapse in Kentucky is now being blamed for a massive spill that has killed about a thousand fish in two waterways near Bardstown.

The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet says the two bodies of water compromised are Withrow Creek and Beach Fork River.

This, after one side of a barrel warehouse collapsed causing structural damage Friday morning.

Nearly half of the 18,000 barrels spilled with many tumbling downhill into the water.

Barton 1792, the bourbon distillery, will receive a violation notice for spilling liquor into the waterways.
