Highbanks Hustle returns to the Southern Illinois Raceway

MARION -- The Highbanks Hustle is the largest outdoor micro sprint car race in the country. 

Since debuting in 2013, the event has become highest paying micro sprint car race in the nation with the winner taking home $10,000. Top teams from all over will compete on the 1/8th of a mile dirt track at Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion.

Practice starts Thursday, June 14 at 6 p.m. at the Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion and hotlaps and races are on Friday and Saturday.

    JACKSON COUNTY--  Even though school let out for the summer kids are continuing their learning by attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale Camp. The camp  gives kids ages 6  to 18--the chance to learn survival skills: building shelters,  using a map and compass , --- and zipling.  SIU Summer Camp Leaders say-- kids and young adults were able to be a part of different groups.
