SIU considers placing Dunn on administrative leave

CARBONDALE -- The SIU Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Friday to consider putting president Randy Dunn on administrative leave.

According to the board's website, the meeting will include also include appointing an acting president.

The moves comes after recent disparaging remarks made by Dunn against members of the Carbondale community.

The meeting will take place Friday, June 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the student center.

    HARRISBURG--  The Defense Department, Delta Leadership Authority and the Egyptian Health Department are teaming up for free screenings for people of all ages in our region. Officials say you do not have to be an area resident to receive treatment; anyone who attends will receive care on a first-come, first -served basis.  Patients will receive; free medical, dental, and a wide range of optometry services and you can even be provided a free eye glasses.
