Stoker sentenced for federal drug crime

Posted: Updated:

RANDOLPH CO. -- A Chester man accused of killing a police officer will spend time in prison for dealing meth.

A federal judge sentenced Jason M. Stoker, 35, to 15 years in prison.

Investigators say Stoker sold "ice" in 2016 in Randolph County.

He was arrested after selling the drug to a confidential source on August 24.

Next Monday Stoker will face a bench trial for the murder of Chester officer James Brockmeyer.

He died October 28, 2016 while chasing Stoker after he refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

If Stoker is convicted--his punishment for both crimes will run at the same time.
