Americans drinking less Budweiser

Posted: Updated:

SAINT LOUIS - It seems as if Americans are drinking less Budweiser than they once did. But foreign consumers are making up for the drop in domestic revenue.

Anheuser-Busch InBev said Wednesday that Budweiser sales fell 1.3% during the first quarter of 2017.

The manufacturer blames changing tastes, as craft beers and wine are gaining popularity among Americans. But sales are up 2.5% globally thanks to solid numbers from Latin America and Asia.
