Reinhardt won't seek another term as Jackson Co. Clerk

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON CO. -- Jackson County Clerk Larry Reinhardt will not seek re-election in November.

Reinhardt filed paperwork to have his name removed from the ballot after running unopposed in the March primary.

Reinhardt has been clerk and recorder since 1998.

According to a press release, Reinhardt had planned to serve four more years, but he says "...with recent changes proposed by the County Board he has determined it would be better for his family if he were to retire and focus on Real Estate."

Reinhardt will be replaced on the ballot by longtime clerk employee Frank Byrd.
