Culver's breaks ground in Carbondale

CARBONDALE -- Crews broke ground where the new Culver's will be located in Carbondale.

More than a dozen people attended the ceremony including Carbondale Mayor Mike Henry and members of Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.

Owners Aaron and Maria Jones say the location was an obvious choice.

"Out here on Reed Station Road, there's a lot of new development, there's a lot of residential housing, and there's a lot of transient traffic between John A. and SIU, so that was attractive to us because we are a quick service restaurant," said Aaron Jones.

The Jones's employ all three of their children hoping to create a family atmosphere in their restaurants.

They plan to have the restaurant open for business by August 13th.
