Pro wrestling benefit coming to Christopher school

Posted: Updated:

CHRISTOPHER -- Students at Christopher Elementary celebrated the 2018 Winter Olympics with a rally and some special guests Wednesday.

Members of the Stride Pro Wrestling roster, including our own Kevin Hunsperger, attended the event to promote a fundraiser for the school happening Saturday night. Money raised will support an upcoming student trip to New York.

But since it's pro wrestling we're talking about things got out of hand when Christopher native Tony Flood started criticizing the school he once attended. That's when fellow wrestler Heath Hatton stopped Tony and slammed him on the gym floor. As you might imagine, the students erupted in cheers.

Flood takes on his fellow alum from Christopher, Jay Spade, for the Stride Pro Wrestling championship. Bell time Saturday (March 3) is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 each.
