Gallatin County and Century advance as Chubb surpasses 3000

JUNCTION -- Gallatin County senior Hailey Chubb needed only three points in the Lady Hawks' regional semifinal game against Hardin County to reach 3000 in her career.  Chubb got those three early and 26 more to lead Gallatin County to a 60-14 win and earn a spot in the regional championship game against Century.

According to the IHSA record page, Chubb is the tenth girl in state history to reach 3000 points and first since 2013 to do so.

In the other semifinal, the Centurions used a 25-4 second quarter run and then held on to beat Pope County 64-56.

Century and Gallatin County will meet for the championship at 7:00 Thursday.
