WASHINGTON, Mo. (AP) - A volunteer coach has been charged with inappropriately touching female gymnasts in eastern Missouri.
KSDK-TV reports that David Schneider was charged Tuesday with three counts of child molestation. Bond is set at $100,000. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
Police also say they've learned of three additional girls. They were only seven or eight at the time and are now 12 or 13.
Schneider was a volunteer coach from fall 2011 to spring 2014 at Kids in Motion in Washington, Missouri. Owner Piper Hoemann said she was shocked to hear the allegations. Hoemann says Schneider was never alone with any girls when he coached.
Schneider was also a volunteer at the Four Rivers YMCA. The YMCA said it has never received any allegations about Schneider.
