Mings to step down at Johnston City

JOHNSTON CITY -- After seven years as Johnston City's head football coach, Dan Mings is resigning.  He will remain at the school as a teacher and boy track and field coach.

Mings was 41-28 as Johnston City's head coach, leading the Indians to five playoff appearances.

He came to Johnston City after ten years at Mt. Vernon and year each at Fairfield and Edwards County.

Mings overall record is 101-86 in 19 seasons, with 12 playoff appearances.
