Clinic in Herrin to close Friday

Posted: Updated:

HERRIN -- A local clinic is closing due to underutilization.

According to Heartland Regional Medical Center, which runs SIMCA Family Practice, says the Herrin location will close on Feb. 9.

Internal medicine and family practice services will continue at the two remaining SIMCA locations in Marion.

They are at 3411 Professional Park Drive and 106 S. Vicksburg Street.

Officials say patients can transition to a Marion location or pick another health care provider.

If you are a current patient at the Herrin Location and have questions about an upcoming appointment or to request your medical records you can call (618) 988-9777.

"We appreciate the trust placed in us by families across our community and we are dedicated to ensuring continuity of care with a smooth transition," Director of Marketing Herby Voss said in a statement to News 3.
