SIU men and women win team titles at the Don DeNoon invitational

Posted: Updated:

CARBONDALE - The SIU track and field team hosted the Don DeNoon Invitational Friday and Saturday.

570 athletes competed from 14 different schools.  It was the biggest indoor meet Southern has hosted in the last three years.

Some former Saluki greats were in attendance like Olympians Gwen Price and Connie Price-Smith.

That may have sparked the Dawgs as both the men and women take the team titles.

The men score 118 points.  Arkansas-Pine Bluff finishes second with 57 points.

The women score 111.5 points.  Murray State earns second with 92 points.
