CCHS gears up for "Dancing with the Faculty" fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

CARBONDALE -- Carbondale Community High School is gearing up for their 2nd annual "Dancing with the Faculty" fundraiser.

Last year they were able to raise more than $4,000. This year, they're expecting an even greater turnout. Senior Class Sponsor Krystal Emrick says the money will be split between the senior class and the band program.

She says the teachers competing, have dedicated so much time to their routines to make the fundraiser a hit.

“A lot of these teacher have been going to professional choreographers to learn dances. A lot of them started last fall and have continued every week practicing until this point,” said Emrick.

The event is Saturday, February 12th in CCCH’s gymnasium.

Tickets can be bought at the door. Adult tickets are $10, student tickets are $5.

Doors open at 6 p.m. “Dancing with the Faculty” starts at 6:30 p.m.
