Democratic candidates for governor to appear at Tuesday forum at SIU

CARBONDALE -- All six of the Democratic candidates running for Illinois governor will appear at a forum at Southern Illinois University on Tuesday night.

Daniel Biss, Bob Daiber, Tio Hardiman, Chris Kennedy, Robert Marshall and J.B. Pritzker will share the stage at the Student Center Auditorium and answer questions on a variety of topics.

Jim Slusher, the assistant managing editor at the Daily Herald, and News 3 anchor/reporter Brandon Richard, will serve as the moderators. 

Doors open at 6 p.m. 

The forum starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 8 p.m.

The Southern Illinois LOCAL Media Group is hosting the event. 

Tickets are sold out, however the forum will be live streamed on the Facebook pages of the Carbondale Times, the Daily Herald and WSIL. 

News 3 will also record the program and upload it later. 

Other news outlets are welcomed to cover the event. 

The Democratic primary will be held March 20.
