Day of Prayer planned in wake of school shooting

Posted: Updated:

MARSHALL CO., KY -- In hopes of providing a sense of normalcy Marshall County High School resumed classes Friday.

It's the first time students walked the halls where a deadly shooting happened Tuesday.

Now community members are turning to the power of prayer to help them move forward.

Governor Matt Bevin proclaimed Sunday as "Day of Prayer."

"Whereas, on January 23rd, 2018 an act of evil shattered the school day at Marshall County High School," Bevin said. "The loss is real and the pain is real and the hurt is real and yet we don't grieve as others grieve because there's hope, there is an eternal perspective."
