Marion to spend $754,995 on new heating system for the HUB

Posted: Updated:

MARION -- The Marion City Council has agreed to spend $754,995 for a new heating system at the HUB.

HSG Mechanical won the contract, despite two other companies offering to do the job for less.

Acting Mayor Anthony Rinella says the HSG Mechanical bid had all the required documentation, while the other two with lower bids didn't.

The Marion Daily Republican reports the heating system in the aquatics building needed frequent repairs.
