Restaurant Report Card: Fast food joints

WSIL -- This week many people will be busy preparing for Thursday's Thanksgiving feasts. So cooking at home isn't always an option. Today we're checking out fast food scores from around the region.

In Benton. the Franklin County inspector gave Arby's a 94. Hardee's was a point lower. The Subway on Grand Avenue in Carbondale was perfect with the Jackson County inspector and it's a trio of 95s for Arby's, Burger King West and the Hardee's in Murphysboro.

The Subway at Rend Lake College was perfect. The Jefferson County inspector  took away one point from the Jimmy John's in Mt. Vernon. The Subway at Times Square Mall received a 98. That's the same score McDonald's East earned. Taco Bell on Broadway in Mt. Vernon first received an 89, four points were lost because one of the coolers wasn't cool enough  A second inspection earned the eatery a 96.

In Herrin, the Taco Bell earned  93 and KFC was a point lower. There was a five point loss there because food wasn't being stored warm enough.
