Teen dies after Thursday's shooting in Crainville

UPDATE: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2017, 3:45 P.M.     

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, IN -- An Indiana coroner tells News 3 Evan Koegler, 18, was pronounced dead around 8 a.m. Friday morning at an Evansville hospital.

An autopsy on Koegler is expected in the next few days. 

Illinois State Police haven't released any new details about the shooting.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2017, 10:31 P.M. 

WILLIAMSON CO. -- A shooting in Crainville sent one person to the hospital with injuries Thursday afternoon.

Illinois State Police told News 3 the community faces no ongoing threat in the wake of the shooting. Investigators are working to determine how the incident transpired.

WILLIAMSON CO. -- Police are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 3:10 p.m. at Hawkeye Court in Crainville. 

Neighbors say a teenager was shot. A person inside the house ran out into the street and flagged down help.

The teen was taken to Heartland Regional Hospital before being flown out of state.
