WSIL -- You can help keep someone's power on this holiday by donating to the Salvation Army. Wednesday November 15, the organization kicks off this years "Red Kettle" campaign.
Everyday, volunteers will collect money that will be used for rent and utility assistance to people in southern Illinois. Bell ringers will be stationed at grocery and retail stores everyday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. They serve 22 counties.
The Salvation Army is always in need of volunteers to help ring the bells, especially in Jackson County. You can call (618) 993-5854 to help.
