SIU volleyball falls to Northern Iowa on senior day

CARBONDALE - The SIU volleyball team hosted Northern Iowa for the final home match of the season.

The Panthers took an early lead in the first set and never trailed winning 25-16.

The second set was closer, but UNI came out with a 25-20 win there and then the Panthers won set three 25-19 to sweep the match.

Patience Brown led the way for the Salukis with nine kills while Andrea Estrada and Abby Barrow added six slams.

The Panthers' Karlie Taylor had a game-high 14 for the victory.

After the game, the Salukis honored the six seniors who are wrapping up their college volleyball careers.
