Amtrak train hits van in Jackson County

JACKSON CO. -- Authorities have identified the person killed in Wednesday's crash as Cody L. Robertson, 18, of Marion.

UPDATED: NOVEMBER 1, 2017 1:55 p.m.

JACKSON CO. -- Investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office confirm one adult died in the crash.

Investigators are now looking to figure out exactly what caused the crash.

The victim's name has not been released.

JACKSON CO. -- An Amtrak train hit a van Wednesday at an intersection near Route 51 and Fox Road.

An Amtrak spokesperson tells News 3, train 391 is delayed north of Carbondale.  There are no injuries to the 16 passengers or crew members.

Police have not released any information on the incident.
