Daniel K. Biss is a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 9. He was first elected in 2012. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. Biss earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His was a professor at the University of Chicago.
J.B. Pritzker received a bachelor's degree in political science and government. In 1993, he received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. He founded the Pritzker Group, a venture capital firm based in Chicago and Los Angeles. In 2012, Pritzker founded 1871, an organization dedicated to attracting technology startups to the Chicago area. He has acted as chairman of the Illinois Human Rights Commission, a state government board. Pritzker is a descendant of Hyatt Hotels founder A.N. Pritzker.
Bob Daiber attended Triad High School and Eastern Illinois University. Following his graduation, he returned to Triad High School in 1978 to teach shop class. Daiber was a member of the Triad Education Association, serving as its president for two years. In 2006, he was named superintendent of schools for Madison County.
