JEFFERSON CO. -- In Jefferson County, Students and teachers alike had some fun watching their superintendent kiss a pig, all for a good cause.

Students at Spring Garden Grade school in Ina have raised money all month for Hurricane Harvey victims.

They made contact with a teacher in Houston, and the money will help her classroom and students.

The students set a goal and if they met their goal, the superintendent would kiss a pig. Monday, they got to watch the big kiss, after they surpassed their fundraising goal.

"I'm just very proud of our school," 4th grade teacher Kimberly Maurer said. "With us being so small, we were able to do such a huge thing for Houston."

The students raised $3,000 and earned the chance to watch Monday's big kiss.
