Motorcycle art show rides into Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON -- People from at least five states came to an art show in Mt. Vernon, but it wasn't paintings and sculptures: it was motorcycles.

Iron Clad Art is in it's thirteenth year at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Mt. Vernon. More than 100 motorcycles, new and old, lined the park, and riders said once it gets in your blood, you're hooked.

"Once you start riding motorcycles, just the freedom about riding motorcycles, there's no way to explain it, Rex Cusumano, of iron Clad Art, said. "It's one of those things if you had to explain it, you probably wouldn't understand it."

Cusumano said what started as a small event 13 years ago is really about the fun and getting riders together.

Other riders said riding motorcycles makes the difference between seeing the world behind a window or actually being a part of it.
