Section of I-57 closed after semi rollover crash

JEFFERSON CO. -- All northbound lanes of I-57 at milepost 86 Jefferson County have been reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY

JEFFERSON CO. -- Authorities are currently on the scene of a rollover crash involving a semi.

Illinois State Police say a semi tractor trailer rolled into the median on I-57 northbound at milepost 86.

Police say the northbound passing lane is currently closed due to cleanup of the scene, and is 
expected to be closed for several hours. Traffic is currently backed up due to the lane closure.  

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
