MARION -- Black Diamond Harley Davidson is teaming up with Dark Horse Ministries to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

The ministry group set up a tent in the parking lot to collect everything from canned goods to bottled water and cleaning supplies. Thomason Express provided a truck and driver to make the trip.

"It's a sad situation down there, but it's gotta be done, and we as a whole can come together like we do in unity and help these people down there," organizer Lincoln McMillen said.

McMillen said the goal is to fill up the truck and send everything off on Tuesday. The driver will take the goods to a Harley Davidson in Texas to distribute the items.

"We need more people like this around here, because the people are really struggling down there, and if it was us, I'm sure they would do the same," said McMillen.

Organizers encourage anyone in the area to drop off items between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. until Tuesday. They said the most desired items are water, toiletries, canned goods and bug spray.
