Du QUOIN -- The 3rd annual Southern Illinois Ducky Derby Dash to benefit Special Olympics Illinois is Sunday at the Du Quoin State Fair.
The event benefits Special Olympics of Illinois and there are still a few ducks left for adoption. Ducks at $5 a piece, 6 for $25, 24 for $100, or 60 for $250. You can purchase online here or at the Du Quoin State Fair.
Funds raised will help support year-round sports training and competition in 12 sports for more than 900 Special Olympics Illinois Southern/Area 15 athletes in Alexander, Franklin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pulaski, Randolph, Union, and Williamson counties.
The derby dash kicks off Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with a parade at the fairgrounds and the duck race begins at 3:00 p.m., followed by entertainment for the entire family.
