Miners start second half of season on a rough note

Posted: Updated:

MARION -- The Miners returned to action Friday following a few days rest from the All-Star Break.

The Miners struggled in the first half of the season, posting a 21-30 record.

Heading into the second half of the season, the team looks to bring run support and a stronger bullpen to help turn things around.

Miner hoping a home-heavy schedule over the next 18 games will help get the team heading in the right direction.

Friday night was not the night get the ball rolling, as the Miners tallied just one run in the 1st.

The River City Rascals top the Miners at home 5-1.
